More news (I am hotel bound once again):

NMH news:

techweb.com

More industry studies announced and market projections (Frost & Sullivan) Its participant list included many of the companies discussed here (the participant list 80+? is interesting in and of itself).

207.88.20.210
207.88.20.210;

Here is a quote, the [] are from the poster:

"The world market revenues from 1993-2003 for NiCd, NiMH, and Li-ion are expected to rise from $1.78 billion to $6.55 billion. The major years of increase are 1996 and 1999, due to an increase in revenues from more expensive Li-ion products. The [liquid] Li-ion segment has shown the greatest growth by jumping 100 percent in 1995 and 500 percent in 1996, but should drop below 10 percent by 2003 due to more new chemistries entering the market."

This study has done something similar to my proposal but it is not real time. From what I can tell their are going to be 10 of the Frost/Kline/Darnell type--are there any more that you know of that are going to include industry participants? Looks like I will have to get my little study going relatively soon!
