Based on the data in the last post from S&P projections, and using quarterly sales data from Multex Investor, the following is obtained.

Fy 01 sales were 7343.2

30 percent down from that number for FY 02 equals 5140.2

FY 02 qtr actuals to date are
1st qtr 1000.5
2nd qtr 1156.5
3rd qtr 1459.7

3 qtrs total equal 3616.7

Therefore, 4th qtr estimated sales is 1523.5

Using S&P's number of 9 percent gain for sales in FY 03 gives a number of 5602.8. A real anemic number if it turns out to be true. It should be real interesting to return to this number 6 months from now to see how it correlates with estimates then.<g>
