We made the best choice 100 years ago based on available information. We would never see a return on our investment to change it.

Breakdowns and overheating are going to happen regardless of what part of the world you are in.

You have things going wrong at 220v. Family pets chewing on power cords is pretty much universal. We have bad things happening at 110v.

I like ours better.
