I thought the most crucial part of your post is the verse I commented on:
"[at-Taubah 9:5] Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free.
Actually reading the entire verse confirms that those who are idolators per Islam, are to made war on until they convert - "repent and establish worship".
The two other verses cover only special unusual circumstances - Excepting those of the idolaters with whom ye (Muslims) have a treaty, and if anyone of the idolaters seeketh thy protection.
Enough about idolators. Here is what Muslims are supposed to do re. Christians and Jews:

Non-Muslims must submit to Islam and pay the Jizya tax as a way to show their acknowledgment of Muslim superiority, as well as to feel themselves subdued and inferior to Muslim power. The Qur'an calls upon Muslims to make no-Muslims dhimmis, a religious status that puts non-Muslims into an inferior and oppressed position within a true Islamic society.
I don't know what Muslims are to do with godless atheists like you Thomas. You live in a Christian oriented society. So perhaps you should only be made to acknowledge Muslim superiority. Do you acknowledge this? Do you feel subdued and inferior to Muslim power?
Why would an atheistic communist like you take up for the most backward and intolerant religion around? I figure that with communism universally discredited, you folks have nothing left but anti-Americanism. And the most militant anti-American forces around today are Muslim. Pretty much on target? |
