Re Idolators

To answer your question, Muslims feel Christians are "idolators" because they have icons to which they worship.

If one is to admire just one part of the religion of Islam, it is that there are no saints or objects of worship between the Muslim and his Allah. The prophet Mohammed has explicitly forbidden sculptures and pictures of himself so that in the future he would not be worshipped. (This has sadly be turned into a banning of all human representation in Islamic art, which is why it is all so full of geometric shapes and little else).

explain to me why moslems refer to unbelievers ( people like me ) as idolaters when every year hundreds of thousands of moslems walk around and around a black rock in mecca

You obviously do not know much about this subject. That "black rock" is called Ka'ba and is not a rock at all, and it certainly is not an idol. That might in fact be one of the more ignorant remarks about Islam that I have every heard, and I am no authority on the subject. Walking around this structure is part of the "Hajj" (one of five pillars of Islam), the pilgrimage to Mecca, which is to be a spiritual journey.

How many of those people walking around this black rock have the slightist idea of why they are doing what they are doing and how really silly it is?

The only idea that is really obvious from your comments is that you are woefully ignorant on the subject, as well as seriously intolerant of other people's way of life and belief systems. Try to understand that your traditions would also appear "silly" to others who were not born to them. Walking around the Ka'ba is a ritual that serve a purpose in Muslim tradition and belief. You are in no position to ridicule this tradition. Try to show some respect.
