I think you need to calm down.
While you are at it, take a moment to consider that not so long ago, Christianity was engaging big time in witch hunts and Inquisition, which killed tens of thousands of their own people.
Eventually, the religion of Islam is also going to go through its own period of Enlightenment and Rationalization.

Please illustrate your point with a few examples. Are you under the impression that Islam has idols to which Muslims worship?

Good luck in your crusade. My guess is that you will fail miserably, as did all other fanatics before you who have tried to wipe a religion off the surface of this planet. Just ask Romans who fed the first Christians to the lions.

If you have read the Old Testament, you probably know that Islam is not singularly egregious in strange stories of bloody violence. My personal favourite how God sent down two she-bears to tear little children into bloody bits because they made fun of Elisha's bald head :)
“And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them” (2 Kgs. 2:23-24).

I assume you are referring to him marrying an eight year old girl, to whom he apparently did not touch until she menstruated. One could argue that he should have adopted her if that was his intention, or that the age for marriage was not far from menstruation in those days, but I am only going to respond by reminding you of Lot and how he offered his (allegedly) virgin daughters to townsmen to use as they please. I think this was after these daughters in question got him drunk and seduced him in bed :)
Anyway, I hope this conversation will not degenerate into a defense of this incident. All I am saying is that there are things in the world's major religions that are completely inacceptable in our day and age but one has to be tolerant about them if only out of respect for other people's beliefs. |
