A three-year run of 5% inflation would certainly sweep away today's economic concerns. That was not, of course, true 10 years ago, or for the 30 years before that. But the problem with economics is that people learn yesterday's lessons just about the time their opposites become the threat. That unfortunate situation is, IMO, why we have economic cycles-and probably always will. Welcome to the New Deflation...
