I'll give you a clue. "Checks and balances" have NOTHING, and should have nothing, to do with social and economic forces in this country.

I would say you suffer from a lack of education. Our entire system of government and way of life if dependant upon limiting the power that any single individual or group exerts. That is the purpose and magic of the Constitution, checks and balances.
