Kerm,
I find the Korner to be an extremely helpful resource for monitoring the oil & gas sector. I used to start the morning with the Globe and Mail; now I check the Korner before I read the paper.
I get the most out of the news releases, media reports, and analyst comments on the individual companies. Being in Canada, I already see the exchage stats, so that part of the trading notes isn't that important to me. I do, however, appreciate the selection of articles and columns from various media, like Barrons and the Financial Post, which I don't normally track. The stuff you've run lately on the bulls vs. bears, and are we repeating '29 and '87, have been particularly interesting.
Do I value this site? Absolutely. Is it worth your time? How can it be -- it's got to take you hours to keep this up, and you aren't getting anything from it. A more relevant question is, "would you pay for access to a site like the Korner?". Depending, of course, on the cost, definitely yes. For example, the Korner is easily worth what I pay for the G&M for a year (about C$250).
Hope that helps. |
