JR: It's been decades since I voted anything but a straight Republican ticket. I'm always shocked to find people who are not in a union (teachers, carpenters, police, labor) who will vote Democrat. I was very surprised to find a couple of small business types who voted for Gore; it turned out that they despised the religious right enough to vote against it. I think this speaks volumes for how well the Democrats have done in polarizing the parties by demonizing the RR, and also how short-sighted the RR is. Small biz types actually voting for the party of Jesse Jackson, free spending and labor unions. Imagine. Kb
