I need a little more information. On first review it looked like it was having an impact on the students who were there to receive an education. It is not clear whether the two were happening simultaneously or whether the walk out was simply a political statement on its own.

I have no problem with groups using the facilities. There should be guidelines for renting space and scheduling time in a way that there is no influence on the educational agenda. "Tolerance" is becoming a lame excuse for infusing every kind of popular agenda into the educational stream.

Of course there could be some problems if you are having Bible study, Quran recitation, gay social movement, boy scouts, La Raza Unita, and KKK meetings in the same wing of the building at the same time. The chess club would probably complain about the noise level.
