To Young and Other Long Term Investors:

Just got through the conference call the second time around and here's what I think:

1)Europe had problems in the 2nd quarter, $56 million as opposed to $63 million in first quarter.
Since I view this as an anomaly due to distribution problems (hopefully it would not happen again but it doesn't rule it out) and I am more interested in sales in the states, I would like to make a quarter to quarter revenue comparison excluding European numbers.

In the 1st quarter state-side and far east revenues were $158,988,000.
2nd quarter was 227,638,000.
The revenue increase comes out to be 43%, much better than the 28% before

2)I didn't read KE as too negative. Yes, yes 3rd quarter will be "challenging" and H&Q just reduced their 3rd Q estimates to 9 cents eps and revenues of 295 million because of the weak European forecasts but how much growth can expect from the oems and better supply and distribution channels.

3) Two more ratio's: a)inventory turnover is 5.7 [(207443/146173)*4]. The number should be higher if not for the $33 million in finished goods increase from last quarter.
b)receivable came down to 57 days

4)Working prototype for zip 200 but not ready for volume production

5)Toshiba and NEC liked the notebook zip. No further news.

Regards,

Mac
