India is a secular country like the U.S. and there are no "Hindu troops". The Indian military comprises of soldiers from various different religions.

I am still impressed that Mahatma Ghandi became one of the most powerful leaders in world history, and all he had was the strength of his mind.

Perhaps his message was blessed by God.
