Aero,

I dunno. Oregon is the funniest state. You elect representatives and senators to the state legislature and every 6 months you get what looks like a proxy statement filled with referenda and ballot measures for everyone to vote on. I'm not a dumb guy (he said, imploringly) but I find it almost overwhelming to read and decide on all these issues which have been thrown back at JQ Public to vote on. I have no idea how the local mechanic or construction worker or grocery store clerk can wade through this crapola. Most of it reads like the tax code.

It makes me wonder just what the $#@$ those gasbags do up in Salem (rhetorical question). All the other states I've lived in have been sane in this regard (Pa. Mass, Va., NJ), but I have heard that California is as bad.
