Big Dog, Whoa I don't know to think of this -what do you think? With Georgia and South Carolina incumbent Democratic Governors shot down in flames, if Siegelman fails to hang on in Alabama, then the entire South will have Republican Governors. Georgia elected its first Republican Governor...since Reconstruction!! (1870). Did you ever in your life think that the party of Abraham Lincoln would control the Governorships of almost the entire South? Abe must be having a chuckle up in Heaven....And I'm still not quite ready yet to call the Civil War over - How about you??? And Jesus! Am I reading these results correctly??? Gray Davis is losing in California with 23% of the precincts counted. I will assume that those are rural Republican precincts...Or?
