Yes, on the surface, it would seem to be a "special situation" not capable of giving direction to the Nasdaq or broad market, yet MSFTs legal fortunes have coincided with significant Market events. My indicators suggest that this current event is probably not a buying opportunity, but a selling opportunity, since it comes after some prior news events had already improved the tone of Tech news a great deal. I'm taking profits and have reduced equity exposure to 33%. If my recollection is correct, MSFTs significant adverse legal developments actually occurred in early 2000, over 2.5 yrs ago.
