There were some sweet victories for the Republicans. Talent in Missouri. Mondale's loss in Minnesota. The party at Wellstones funeral backfired. Minnesotans would have not of that sideshow. Chambiliss in Ga. Dole in N.C. and Bush in FL. The sweetist of all would have been Thune in South Dakota but he lost by a few hundred votes, recount coming.

Why did the republicans pick up seats? They were clearly motivated. Some apparently have woke up to the fact they are losing their country. For the need of homeland security.
Some people are saying...enough is enough. Maybe it will continue. Maybe it's too late.

As for oil. Who drills? Who you rather it be? non-American interests? If you really want to reduce dependence on foreighn oil. Reduce consumption. Drill the coast and the ANR.
