I'm not so sure taxpayers are willilng to pay even for things they want.

The failure of Prop 51 out here is an indication that they sometimes aren't willing to pay for the things they want, or at least that they say they want.

Traffic in the Seattle area is among the worst in the country, generally ranks either No. 1 or 2 in worst, but the voters voted down money specifically intended to address that.
