E, peripherals are printers, scanners etc. Since you defragged successfully, it may not be necessary to do a scandisk. I say this because I use Norton to defrag and if there is a problem, it tells me to run the Norton scan utility first. I think the Nortom disk utilities are less sensitive and more likely to run to completion.
