To all:

From now on I'll just keep my mouth shut about what I think Iomega will earn. I just want to make a few comments about the flood of posts.

The added 4M to R&D cannot possibly be considered as part of earnings. They're R&D spending was getting pathetically low because they couldn't keep up with revenue growth.

The 4M held over for Q3 can surely be counted. Is this 4M after tax as so many posts presume? I think probably not, and with a 39% tax rate (at least that's what KE said the expected rate was) that's closer to 0.02 on the bottom line.

Concerning this 4M carry-over. I think that even if earnings had been higher, KE would have simply carried more over. I think that they planned to beat estimates only slightly and that's just what they did.

I was expecting significantly higher earnings. I don't think that lower (than my lofty expectations) earnings over the next few quarters has much.....

Gotta go, my wife's in labor
