Thanks Jay, interesting ... could have googled it up myself but thought of you right off ... 'willing to take risks and seek new opportunities elsewhere' - that very much describes this young lady, eager to learn everything, so openminded ..... the two of them love to discover and invent food, wonderful international cookoffs here, perogies in unique sauces, tempura the other night with the standard seafood but also a squash i grow that is hard and sweet like the japanese kabocha, very good ... a dutch east indian sort of riijstaffel but with indefinable herbs you could not pin down on the globe without being told .... both love rice, they've discussed opening a restaurant centred on the grain, and are considering my suggestion for a name - The Human Rice

Short-hop flights - isn't it amazing how you can spend four hours getting to and then hanging around an airport for a thirty-three minute flight .... big controversy around here on the feeder system - YVR [Vancouver] is charging the same security fee no matter if you board for Prince George or Victoria or Timbuctou ... for the amount of the fee you can take a bus and/or ferry to the first two, and spend your airticket money on beer ... it's killing the feeder airlines system .... stupid, because nobody blows up or hijacks such local traffic .... yet
