If there were a 90% voter turnout, and my side lost, I would have an easier time accepting the will of the majority. I hate to think that a few people, motivated by a few issues about which they feel strongly, or that have been targetted by special interests are deciding everything. Easier to manipulate the results where there is low turnout. It bugs me that registration and turnout among young voters, poor voters, and minorities is so low. Clearly they are not well represented.
