no cover on expe (why do you only ask about that one?), it's fairly lightly traded so that the bid/ask can really crank around based on little volume. Also, as a 'high' priced stock a 40 cent surge up or down is obviously much less of a % as for say, amat ;-) That being said I have to be careful on the expensive stocks since it ties up a lot of capital and can move a lot of points. Bottom line is if I have to short expe over the long haul I will. I plan on shorting more tomorrow as the stock never reacted at all to PCLN claim that traveling is way down. (PCLN down 27% today). I know it is not a direct relationship but puuuuulease expe is being valued at $4.3 billion!

From latest qtr.:
Expedia posted a third-quarter net profit of $20.1 million, or 32 cents per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $4.8 million, or 9 cents per share, a year earlier.

Revenue rose to $165.8 million from $79.5 million a year earlier and gross bookings more than doubled to $1.47 billion, Expedia said.

Excluding non-operating items, Expedia reported a profit of 49 cents per share, above both the top end of Wall Street estimates and the 40-cent-per-share consensus.

this market cap is astounding. I may look to options but they are quite illiquid and one never knows when an ebubble will finally bust (cf. eBay).
