Hello Kerry, <<the Fed has announced a 50 bp cut>> This is almost the final flicker of candle light before the lack of oxygen ends this Act in our Script. The rate cut, as ususal and as before, will not do much of anything except

(a) make the savers poorer
(b) leverage up the borrowers further
(c) weaken the foundation of global monetary system
(d) delay but not prevent the market clearing process
(e) open the way for more ferocious officialdom intervention
(f) take us further beyond the point of no retur than anybody has previously been in all of history, except perhaps the Romans when their coins were debased to the point of extinction

<<The GOP establishes majority status in both the House and the Senate>>

This is OK for now as somebody, anybody, must be in control, so as to take full credit or absolute blame.

<<mean for domestic and foreign stocks?>>

Domestic (as in US), up first, then down. Foreign stocks, down and then up;0)

Chugs, Jay
