Actually GST, the fact is it is much more specific, and much less philosophical, than you would like us to think.

It will hinge on whether all areas of Iraq should be open to inspection, or whether as France and Russia would like, the Iraqi palaces would be off limits, so Saddam can hide his weapons in those facilities.

Let's hope Russia and France do not prevail. That would indeed be a sad failure of international law.
