Here is what I thought about it on Monday:

************************************************************
Most important this week is the FOMC meeting on Wednesday. I suspect if we see a weak Factory Orders number today, and a weak service ISM report tomorrow, we could very well see a quarter point drop in rates. Though I'm still from the camp that a rate cut isn't necessary as monetary policy goes, but it might make for a psychological boost to the markets.

I repeat the following as my thoughts regarding what the government can do for economic growth.

1) Cut corporate taxes to allow companies to shift taxes to dividends, which would up the valuation of the balance sheet and stock price. Eliminate the taxes on dividends.

2) Allow the public, but not company insiders, to buy stock during the next year without paying capital gains taxes.

3) Increase the capital loss to $6,000 this year and $10,000 next.
***********************************************************

The cut seems nice, but I'm sure there must be someone who would like to make more than inflation, I had expected a rate increase by the end of the year, but that was before we started to slow again. I still think we need the above, I just don't see all the problems as an interest rate fix right now......but I hope they are correct.
