The top of an A assumes that a continuation of the correction will be in progress so a B wave down and then C wave up will then be needed, but would stay in the range of A give or take. The decline from the end of the C wave however, finishes a correction of one degree and continues the decline of a larger degree and thus would be the larger decline.
