BTW, I ran into some Japanese folks here in Yichang. One pair of parents seem genuinely and hilariously happy that their kid got accepted at a Chinese university, almost as if his future is now more secure than if he had been accepted at a Japanese university. The times, they are changing;0)
Some HK acquaintances are scouting for second wife in the universities on the mainland, as the girls are more natural, require less maintenance, generally happier, more lively, more independent, more adaptable, less fussy, more presentable, and smarter than the HK variety. Our treasury secretary married the Olympic diver 30 years his junior, and is simply the talk of the town, mostly of the admiration from guys or envy variety from the ladies. The times are changing fast:0)
