<<a townhown runs from 500,000 to 750,000, 2 bedroom condo around 350,000 and up.>>

I guess it's all geographic...my cousin bought a small 450 sq ft studio townhouse in the village ( NY ) about 15 years ago...he paid $250k for it..it's now, well over a million.....at the same time, we were buying a 2000+ sq ft home, pool, jacuzzi, beautiful yard and etc....for about $90k here in Charlotte, NC. now worth about double that....my in laws have a beatiful house on a very large lake....paid like $50k total 20 years ago....now worth about $300k.....But I tell you what, $400k - - $600k buys you one helluva nice 5000 sqft home on any of our big lakes...the same house in california would be several million......
