9:39AM H & R Block "shocked" at Texas ruling (HRB) 41.00: Announces last night that it was "shocked" at a Texas state court judge's letter announcing his pretrial ruling in the Ronnie and Nancy Haese case, saying it is contrary to Texas law; judge stated that he will favorably rule on plaintiffs' motion for partial summary judgment that HRB did have a fiduciary duty as well as grant plaintiffs' motion for forfeiture of fees totaling $74.9 mln. Co will hold a conference call at Noon ET today to discuss the issue.

HRB management to hold ANOTHER conference call at noon today to explain how this is irrelevant to their business, they have no liability, all accounted for, perfectly reasonable to charge people effective 100% interest rates for short-term personal loans (does Tony Soprano even charge that much?) yada yada yada.

Everything's fine. Next!!

Cheers
