LR, Your implication is probably right about this being a a move based on deep concern by Greenspan. But it reminds me a little of when Rubin intervened in the currency market against the Yen by making a dramatic move that stopped the speculation. Would Greenspan use up his near-final bullets if he didn't see the end?
