That's bullshit. The democrats ran deficits for social reasons. Reagan's deficits ended the cold war. I agree that folks who rely on gov't for economic booms are wrong, but obstructionist gov't isn't good for the country. The bubble that occurred over the last few years wasn't a result of gov't policy, but rather ineffective gov't oversight and auditing. Cheerleading gov't allowed criminal activity to become the norm and it's still not straight. I suppose you believe slick willy's tax increase was the reason the deficit "decreased" even though the national debt increased. I think you're smart enough to see through the gov't propaganda. The history of gov't deficit spending isn't very long to be establishing conclusions from.
