He said voters were angry at Democrats and Mr. Barnes for what many considered their heavy-handed approach to Congressional redistricting in favor of Democrats. Mr. Chambliss was forced out of his Congressional seat, for example, because he was paired with another Republican, Jack Kingston.
"By redistricting out Saxby Chambliss, they created a U.S. Senate candidate," Mr. Reed said. "There's no question about the fact the gerrymandered redistricting that the Democrats passed in 2001 backfired. They created a lot of discontent at the grass roots."
This is what truly outraged Republicans, and all the old school Southern Democrats say the democrats for what they truly are. A bunch of cheating, lying, victory at any cost group. They pitted some of our best Republicans against each other...that's why we lost Barr's seat...
We need to gain control of the state houses, so we can throw all the crooks out, one county at a time...or three or four!
We managed to get rid of Cynthia McKinney, by Republicans joining together and crossing party lines, but it shouldn't be that way. The way the lines are drawn now, that was the only way we could do it!
I also read yesterday, that the major Corp. in Georgia (Coke, Delta etc) didn't give money to (R.) Perdue. The money went to the democrats. I guess they thought it was business as usual. The only "Home team corp." who gave money to the Republicans, and backed Perdue was THE WAFFLE HOUSE!!!!
Eat at the Waffle House any time yo'al are travelin down South! Order your hash browns scattered, covered, and smothered, and tell them I sent you...Ya hear? |
