Control of the planet, in real terms, by how many individuals - two hundred, fifty, a dozen? ... or does it come down in the actual fact to three, or one ... a majority in all branches of power, too scarey, so much for the 'checks and balances' idea
I'm torn here somewhat due to supporting much of the stated principle behind their republican party, the classical liberal concepts of individual rights and responsibilities, fiscal reality, meaningful currency, foreign policy of honour, etc ..... and Dubya with that 'juntos podemos' bit, at which many believe him to have been personally sincere, at the time
But reality is what counts ..... right now one of the men involved in the 1980s atrocities against Nicaragua is the assistant secretary of state for Latin America ... if you can believe that .... name of 'Reich', quite coincidentally one hopes -ng- ... foto of him here - is it not disquieting that such individuals rule our species - news.bbc.co.uk
