Better? I would defer to an english teacher, but I'm not sure that a message can be ignorant. It can display ignorance, but to say it is ignorant implies that it has the capacity to learn but hasn't. I would rate that as sort of a mixed metaphore with some personification of object. Maybe if you brought in meme theory it would make more sense to indicate the message as a dynamic and changing entity. TP
