chicken and egg though. AMAT quadrupled in 95, but only because they sold a TON of stuff internationally, the deals were done in 94. You could say it was the strong dollar that fueled amat stock price rise and it had nothing to do with fundies, imo thats a stretch though.

The funny thing is, as the dollar was rising and the stock mkt rising in tandem... I don't remember anybody drawing much of a correlation THEN, except that the dollar was high and had it been lower even more stuff could have been sold. In hindsight everybody now seems to think the dollar was the key reason the mkt crashed or something.
