There are two facts you are totally neglecting here:
1. Congress authorized the use of force against Afghanistan.
2. Congress authorized the use of force against Iraq.

So what's your beef again? If Congress allows itself to be bamboozled by a lying CIC, it is failing in its duty. What is your evidence that happened? Do you buy the crackpot theories that the US was behind the destruction of the WTC?

This is hardly the first time. There were criminally negligent failures before Pearl Harbor too. So bad that there are still those that think FDR set it up to get the US into WW2.

Before you throw your stone, though, keep one thing in mind: hindsight is 20/20. The murk of the present and the fog of war are much harder to see through.
