Yeah, put all the dough in a few years back, eh? The real crapshoot is would you say that two/three years from now?

Get this - talking to my stepmom the other day, who has about $100K in the market. She's telling me she's talking to her brother, a player too, and he tells her that he had counseled a family friend to put all her $$ into MSFT, about five years ago.

She worked for some dentist for like 40 years, and when she retired he gave her $100 k or something (sorry I can't be precise, but you'll like the punchline).

With the ensuing splits, she now finds herself holding 8,000 shares of MSFT. Without doing the math, I say "yeah, that's nice." About five seconds later it occurs to me that we are talking close to a million dollars here. Yousa.

Only having enough time to play with this stuff a couple of hours per week, I think I'll just hold onto my MSFT.
