UPS Plans to Raise Prices by As Much As 3.2% Next Year

ATLANTA -- United Parcel Service Inc. (NYSE:UPS - News) on Friday announced it is raising its package shipping rates for 2003.

The Atlanta-based delivery company said it will boost its rates for Next Day Air by 3.2% and for UPS Worldwide Express by 2.9%.

UPS said the rate increases are consistent with those of recent years for daily customers, and will take effect Jan. 6.
