NQLX - SUCCESSFUL OPENING

New York, November 8, 20002 -- Nasdaq Liffe Markets (NQLX) announced that their first day of trading was considered extremely successful by firms and the exchange.

Tom Ascher, NQLX CEO, said, "We are very proud of our successful launch today. All of our systems worked seamlessly and our member firms were very pleased with the overall performance of the market. From the very beginning, our central order book was vibrant, with strong order flow and trading. As the day progressed, volume increased significantly culminating in over 5,000 contracts traded. By all measurements we believe this is one of the most successful new market openings. Our
market proved extremely strong against our competitor, with higher volumes and tighter markets for our customers. Ultimately we judge our success by the reaction of our firms and their customers and we have found their positive remarks very rewarding. Moving forward we will nurture and build this market to its potential."
