I disagree that future intransigence by Saddam will cause Powell's stock to "plummet."

There is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that proceeding with the approval of the UN is good strategy, good tactics.

Better this way than unilaterally, but I don't retreat from my position that unilateralism is better than not doing it.

My decision tree says do it, regardless of whether unilaterally or multilaterally, but multilaterally has advantages.
