Larry, the BPCOMPQ dropped below 30 on April 4, 2000. It turned up on April 5, 2000. The close on April 5 was 4169.22, and the open April 6 was 4266.80.

You would have needed to buy on April 6, and the BPCOMPQ did not get above 54 and peak until the Feb. 2, 2001 time at 2660. That's a 38% loss.
