You worked in a chicken plant? Could you tell me about it? I have always wondered what went on there. I have heard that it's really gross and dirty and there are a lot of repetitive stress injuries, and that--in the same way that finding out how sausage is made causes one not to want to ever eat it again--it makes even the finest roast bird, slathered with fresh rosemary from the garden the way I do it, unappealing. Do you still like to eat chicken? Are the workers treated very well?

My real dream garden is the one I hope to have when I retire, which I also hope will be in the near future. I love nasturtiums and calla lilies and jasmine and honeysuckle, all colors of daisies, geraniums and wild, climbing roses. Bulbs everywhere, to surprise me again each spring. I have a whole book about white-flowered gardens that are beautiful in the moonlight, and would like to have one in a corner of my larger garden. Herbs of course, and don't forget mint!! I want to buy some property in the country which also has established fruit trees and blackberry brambles and a rhubarb patch. I like to experiment with things like making soaps and potpourris, so the garden needs to be really fragrant.

I have as many of these things now as will fit in my small, urban garden. The rest of my dreams need to happen soon!
