Mike. Great analogy. I think b/c she, like all the other novice investors out there, have been conditioned by the media, experts, gurus and other perma-bulls how easy it is to make money in the market and its the only game in town. To think that one can lose 20% or more with their money invested in the market is nothing more than a distant nightmare in the past (90, 87 etc) that is all but forgoten. How quick they will remember or get a taste of reality when it happens. The people on this thread and others who have equally valid reasons why they think the market will continue to go higher are not "average investors" and aren't stupid enough to stand in the way of a market about to go awry. They will eventually get out of the way, but just not necessarily at or near a market top. She is the typical investor. Thanks for sharing your story. JT
