Well, the Fed can't do anything to stimulate demand, but they can certainly do something about deflation.

One of the criticisms of the BOJ has been that at the worst possible time, they actually pulled money out of the system (and the Diet raised taxes in 1993) thereby contributing to the deflationary spiral that they find themselves in now. So I'm a bit relieved that our Fed seems to be on the right track to prevent this from happening.

I actually believe that other than telco, tech is starting to recover. Watch the Commerce department's capex spending report. Its been growing for the last 2 quarters, after falling for what..5 quarters?
