IMO, government in the 21st century Information Age should be a clearinghouse for social, business, financial, science and operational information. Why should THAT be government's role? Capitalism does a much better job of it than government ever could. Why on earth would you want to take something that functions perfectly well out of the hands of private business and turn it over to government?
