Which would you choose?>. The question, which would Saddam choose. And i say his choice has already been announced by the "parliament".
Why? He has one longshot, get the U.S. to start striking BEFORE they have accomplished their 200,000 plus force build up and prep.
Early strikes will be bombs which will, in Saddam's mind, give him the time to play victim and rally the people.
Saddam is in a noose, his chances of prolonging the becoming of a hanged man i suspect are best from his view in getting U.S. to make strikes early while he is deep in one of his many bunkers. Max
