Yes I remember. 8 years of unprecedented growth, peace, balanced budgets, lowest crime rate in decades, a budget surplus that has taken Bush little more than a year to turn into a deficit. All through mean spirited, vitriolic investigations into his personal life, lead by the "lily white" Republican side. Memory serves me, after the Henry Hyde congressional impeachment recommendation to the Senate, Hyde himself had to admit to adultery and Gingrich had to resign, among scandal and an equally stunning loss by the Reps at the midterm election polls.
