I actually agreed with some of your post (I was against war/regime change, whatever)... until I took the time to read some unbiased media on the Iraq weapons inspections after the gulf war. I looked for british media reports, Noam Chomsky, NPR - sources like that who generally shun war and US bully tactics with the ROW.

What I discovered, was that Iraq completely ignored weapons inspectors after the war... not only did they start importing tons of biological weapons materials (while claiming this stuff was for "hospital research") and reactor magnets etc., they didn't even try to cover it up.

Now I am much more critical of the current Iraq regime, although I continue to be against any sort of violence imposed on the iraqi people.

Here's a 15 minute NPR piece that interviews british iraqi weapons inspectors from the mid-90s, its a worthwhile listen if anybody has time.
