re: War in Iraq...

I've exchanged a few emails with some posters on this subject...but, thinking outside the box here:

Concerning the Iraqi Oil Fields... I'd assume that Special Forces will sent to the Major Oil Locations to physcially secure them in the intial stages of the attack on Iraq. I also think that we will and SHOULD take "interim" (interesting word there (VBG) possession of "some" of the Iraqi Oil Production to offset the expenses of the War on Terrorism... kind of a self-generated War Reparation.

In thinking outside of the box a bit:

Why not take that "War Reparation" idea a step further and use Iraqi Oil to subsidize via free Iraqi Oil/$ to the US Airline Industry as Reparations for the damage to the Industry that Sept. 11th caused them. Free Jet Fuel and even bailout loan $ for a period of years financed from seized/repartions via Iraqi Oil production seems just imho.

While we may not have the direct quid pro quo links of Saddam to Sept 11th (yet) - we do have imho; the evidence of his sponsorship & financial support of global terrorism.

Take control of the Iraqi Oil Fields; maintain a multi-year "interim" control of "some" of that Oil Production $... perhaps building a base near the strategic Iraqi Oil Fields as a SpOps staging/security area for the ongoing longterm war on Terrorism (which would be a stabilizing force in the area) and use "some" of that Iraqi Oil as longterm financing for the ongoing war on terrorism ?

This ought to help stimulate the Saudi Royals to get their house in order ASAP as well...
